Some Basic Tips On E-book Layout And Structure

When you’ve been doing something for a while you tend to take certain things for granted. So when people ask me how to create an ebook I have to admit that I’m a bit puzzled. Haven’t they read any ebooks on their own? Haven’t they made note of how they’re generally put together? Well for those who really need some help with ebook creation this article is going to give you some basic tips on ebook layout and structure.

Starting from the top the first thing that you need is a good strong title and sub title. These will go on your first page in big bold print. You’ll also want the author’s name underneath. However between the title and the author’s name it’s probably a good idea to have an ecover. for more detials:www.ebooksecretsrevealed.com.That’s a photo of the actual book itself. These are usually done in Photoshop using action scripts. If you can’t do them yourself hire a designer to do one for you. This will give your ebook a more professional look.

The second page you will put all your disclaimer and legal information. The primary thing you want to include here is that the ebook can not be copied or duplicated in any way. This isn’t actually going to stop people from stealing your work but it does give you legal recourse if somebody should do so. You also want to include any disclaimers about the material in the book such as not making any guarantees and so on. This will keep you from getting sued if somebody uses your book and doesn’t get what they thought they would get out of it.

The third page is where you want to put your table of contents. This is a must. People don’t want to go searching through your ebook for certain topics. A table of contents will make it so that they can get to any part of your ebook quickly. If you make your table of contents clickable that’s even better. This is easily done by bookmarking them in Word when you create them.

Finally you have the contents of the ebook itself. You want to present this in a logical step by step manner. Don’t refer to something on page three that you don’t get to until page twenty. for visit detials:www.profitpullingebooks.com.This is a great way to infuriate your reader. Also make sure that you have a chapter title at the top of each chapter so that it can be easily found. Also make sure you have page numbers. Having a table of contents is worthless if you don’t have page numbers to go along with them.

These may all seem like little things but by doing them you will give your reader an ebook that he will actually enjoy reading just a little bit more.
